Taos trail
4.00$
all-purpose red tomato for market.
Description
all-purpose red tomato for market. Plants produce 8 oz. +, red-orange fruits with a characteristic pointed blossom end. They are flavorful, sweet, zesty, and moderately acidic. Excellent production, with lots of fruits at the same time; good canner, juicer, slicer, or salad tomato. Plants are incredibly heat tolerant and disease resistant in my garden. HISTORY: From the late Dan McMurray. In his his own words posted at Home Grown Goodness, on Jan 23, 2011 : “I grew ‘Santa’ cherry once = label said ‘Santa F1’, but was smudged, and I thought it said Santa Fe. I realized rather quickly that it wasn’t Santa Fe, but saved seed from it anyway. If any of you have seen my “Taos Trail”, that is what I got from growing out two plants from the Santa seed. It has been stable from the start, and is now at the F8 stage. All I am doing with it now, is trying to select for a bit higher productivity. (Taos Trail is 8-12 oz and nothing like Santa for flavor).”
