Originated with Frau Isabella Buhrer-Keel of Basel, Switzerland who obtained the seeds from an Italian man whose mother grew this tomato in Naples, Italy. . Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces 6-10 oz., red, pleated fruits. The name means “toothed” in German, and slices certainly present this appearance. Semi-hollow tomatoes are firm and mild-tasting; great for stuffing. Very productive, even in hot, dry condition. Great for sauce or canning.
