Nice 12-14 ounce dark mahogany tomatoes. Not very productive for me this year, was quite late, a lot of cracking but we had some pretty wet weather this year. I will try it again next year , The flavor was like that of a Cherokee purple, but without the green shoulders.

very fleshy tomatoes make outstanding paste. But like some paste tomatoes this one is also quite juicy and the taste is very good. It was not at all what I expected. This is a great old forgotten heirloom that deserves another shot. Makes a good thick spaghetti sauce too.
