Description

Large, flattened beefsteak tomatoes with pronounced ribbing and pleating, typically weighing 300–500 grams (10–18 oz), with some fruits exceeding 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs). Fruits ripen from orange-red to deep red. The flesh is dense, meaty, and relatively dry, with small, sometimes hollow seed cavities containing very few seeds. Delivers a traditional, old-fashioned tomato flavor with a satisfying balance of sweetness and acidity. Its firm texture, low seed-and-gel content, and high dry matter make it excellent for fresh slicing, salads, and cooking down into rich, flavorful sauces.
