Moravsky Div

Description

70 days, indeterminate — The potato leaf plants are a very compact, indeterminate type that produce large amounts of red, globe shaped, two ounce fruits. It is a very good tasting fruit. // HISTORY: A commercial variety from Moravoseeds, Czechoslovakia. The name means ‘The Wonder from Moravia’. As some Russian seed vendors stated on their websites, this is one of the strains of Stupice tomato, likely Stupické skleníkové. The name change is not surprising, as it is much more catchy than ‘Stupice’ or ‘Stupicke’, and (unfortunately) seed sales in Russia is all about marketing and profits, and not about historical accuracy and proper attribution to breeders. Introduced to North American gardeners and SSE members by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus in 2008.
