large round pink flesh 9 oz to 1 # verry meaty, few seeds very little acid // HISTORY: Gary Staley (FL ST G) offered it in the 1989 SSE Yearbook with this description: “dark pink, seeds came from Kolb Greenhouse in Storm Lake, Iowa 50 + years ago. He got the seeds in 1982 from (IA BA S) who apparently was no longer a member of SSE. It’s important to note that Gary has been a listed member of SSE since 1984. He has the same description for this variety in the 2014 SSE Yearbook, as he did in the 1989 Yearbook. Using 1982 as a start date and adding the “50+” years, this variety is well over 80 years old.
