Kardinal Mazarini, also known as Mazarini or Cardinal Mazarin, is a beautiful Russian heirloom oxheart tomato originating from St. Petersburg, Russia. This impressive variety produces large to very large, heart-shaped fruits typically weighing 7 to 18 ounces, with some of the earliest fruits on the lower clusters reaching an incredible 1 to 2 pounds. The gorgeous, rosy-red tomatoes have dense, meaty flesh, small seed cavities, and very few seeds. The flavor is wonderfully sweet, rich, and well-balanced, offering that delicious old-fashioned tomato taste.
