Description

A rare French heirloom tomato reportedly originating from the commune of Vers in the Lot region of France. This beautiful beefsteak variety produces medium to large fruits weighing approximately 7–12 ounces. The tomatoes are round and plump with attractive ribbed shoulders, ripening to a lovely rosy-red or pinkish-red color, sometimes retaining a subtle green collar. Inside, the flesh is firm, dense, and exceptionally meaty, with multiple seed chambers and very few seeds. The flavor is everything you would expect from a traditional heirloom—sweet, rich, and beautifully balanced, with that classic old-fashioned tomato taste. An excellent slicing tomato, perfect for sandwiches, fresh eating, and showcasing the wonderful flavor of a true French heirloom.
