Amish Potato Leaf
4.00$
Indeterminate, potato-leaf, Tomato plants yield HUGE, 1-2 lb., pink, beefsteak tomatoes that are lightly fluted and lightly flattened and contain wonderfully delicious, rich, complex, sweet, well-balanced. old-fashioned tomato flavors. Fruit has little cracking or cat-facing for such a large beefsteak type. /// HISTORY: The seed for this variety was obtained by Douglas Wallace of Minnesota from a local Amish woman in the late 90s/early 2000s, along with Todd County Amish seeds. These tomatoes came with the generic names “German Non-acid” and “Non-acid”, and were named by Douglas (it is unclear which became which). This variety may be of German origin. No history was provided by the Amish family. Introduced in 2004 Seed Saver Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C).
