Gigante Liscio

An historic Italian heirloom developed around 1920 from a cross of Ponderosa and St.Louis. Donated to USDA in April 1992 from Italy by Fratelli Ingegnoli.Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces large, 6-16 oz., red, irregularly shaped beefsteak tomatoes with meaty, juicy flesh. Excellent, strong, well-balanced flavors.
