A super productive variety that produces an abundance of beautiful red, pear-shaped (piriform) tomatoes ranging from 4–10 ounces. The fruits come in a fascinating assortment of pear shapes and sizes, with some developing into unusual double fruits. The flavor is outstanding—incredibly sweet and juicy, followed by a delightful acidic finish that gives them that wonderful old-fashioned tomato taste. The plants are heavy producers, making this variety a real standout in the garden. Little is known about its history, as I received the seeds from a friend in Italy. A wonderful Greek mystery tomato that deserves a place in any heirloom collection!
